How EastSide Scholars Are Soaring into the Next School Year
As summer unfolds, we're taking a moment to reflect on all that our scholars, staff, and community have accomplished—and to gear up for an even stronger start this fall. At EastSide Charter School, growth doesn’t slow down in the summer. It’s a time to reflect, recharge, and recommit to the mission that drives us: growing students faster than any other public school in the state.
📈 Progress You Can See—and Feel
The results from this past year are more than just numbers, they're a testament to the hard work of our scholars and the unwavering commitment of our teachers.
8th grade English proficiency reached 52%, compared to the state average of 41%.
Math proficiency grew by 34%, while the state average saw 0% growth.
And the success doesn’t stop in the classroom. This year, our 8th graders earned over $250,000 in scholarships to some of the most competitive high schools in the region. The APEX Honors Program—our unique partnership with Tower Hill, Wilmington Friends, and Sanford School—continues to open doors and set new standards for what’s possible.
