As the 2024–2025 school year winds down, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has truly been a transformational year at EastSide Charter School. Our students have grown academically, socially, and emotionally—and our community has grown with them.

At the heart of this incredible year was a historic milestone: the grand opening of EastSide’s state-of-the-art Chemours STEM Hub. This world-class facility has become a beacon of innovation and opportunity for our scholars, offering access to cutting-edge technology, real-world learning experiences, and a space where curiosity and creativity thrive. It’s more than a building—it’s a symbol of what’s possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

Parents and PTO
EastSide families are the foundation of our school. Your belief in our mission, your participation in school events, and your ongoing support at home have helped make this year so successful. From cheering on your child’s progress to joining us for conferences and celebrations, you’ve helped reinforce the idea that learning doesn’t stop at the school doors—it starts there and grows with every conversation, every lesson, and every show of support.

Community Partners with Purpose
The launch of the STEM Hub would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of our donors and community partners. Chemours, Barclays, and so many others invested not only in a facility but in the futures of every EastSide scholar who walks through its doors and the community overall. Your support has allowed us to offer our students opportunities that most children in our city—and across the country—simply don’t have access to. From STEM programming to after-school enrichment and real-world career exposure, your partnership has changed lives.

Volunteers Who Show Up and Step In
From our in-classroom support to the many fun PTO events we’ve had this year, and special schoolwide celebrations, volunteers have made their mark this year in countless ways. You’ve shared your time, your stories, and your energy—and in doing so, you’ve made every event more meaningful and every scholar feel seen and valued. Your presence reminds our students that they are supported by an entire community cheering them on.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude and Purpose
As we close out this unforgettable year, we do so filled with pride and deep gratitude. Our scholars are walking into summer with new skills, bold dreams, and the support of a village that believes in them.
