Permanent transportation changes will take effect within 24 hours of submission. If you need to make a permanent change to your student’s transportation method, please provide as much detail as possible on the form below. This will help our Transportation Department process your request accurately and efficiently.

Important Reminders:

• Bus Stop Changes: When requesting a change to your student’s bus stop, please refer to the current bus schedule and provide the specific bus stop you are requesting. At this time, new bus stops cannot be created.

• Address Changes: All address changes must be completed through the Main Office. Transportation cannot update a student’s address through this form.

• A member of the Transportation Department will contact you if we have any questions or concerns regarding your request.

Early Dismissals and Temporary Transportation Changes must be submitted through our online form before 2:00pm. This is very important in order to have a smooth and timely transition for your child and to create the least disruption to the learning environment for teachers and fellow students.

​For the safety of our students, early dismissals are not permitted after 2:00 pm. Any parent coming to pick up their child after 2:00 pm will be required to wait at our regular 2:30 pm dismissal time the parent pick-up line. ​​

Bus Riders:

• Please arrive at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before scheduled pick-up/drop-off time, and allow a 20 minute window for the bus to arrive.

• In the interest of safety, we encourage you to be present at your child’s bus stop both morning and afternoon. Bus drivers will not discharge students in Kindergarten - 2nd grade at a stop unless a responsible person is present at the stop. If there is not an older sibling or authorized adult to pick them up at the bus stop, they will be returned to the school. The parent/guardian will be responsible for the immediate pick up of their child from school. If the child is waiting in the main office after 4:30pm, the authorities may be contacted. After three (3) returns to the school, the student will not be permitted to ride the school bus.

• Students must obey the bus driver and bus aide promptly to ensure safety on the bus. Students should be courteous to him/her, as well as fellow students. All bus behaviors will be handled by the Transportation Department, Behavioral deans, and Principal.

• Students will be picked up and dropped off only at their scheduled stop. They will not be allowed to get on the bus, nor off the bus at any alternate location.

Car Riders:

• Placards need to be out and visible when picking up students.

• Parent Pick-up Location is behind the school on Bowers Street. School doors open at 7:30am and dismissal starts at 2:40pm.

• Anyone with green or yellow placard can pick-up your child. Otherwise, they will be directed to the main office for verification.

Walkers:

• Students walking or biking to school must always consider using the safest route.  Parents are asked to review the safest route and proper procedures for crossing a street.

• Walker students in Kindergarten – 2nd Grade must have an older sibling or authorized adult to walk with to and from school.

• Students should use cross walks throughout the community where available.

Students Kindergarten through Second grade will be sent back to school if there is not an older sibling or authorized adult to pick them up at the bus stop.  The parent/guardian will be responsible for the immediate pick up of the child from school.  If the child is waiting in the office for any length of time, the authorities may be contacted. Multiple returns will result in the loss of bus privileges.

Arrive at the bus stop 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up and drop-off time and allow a twenty-minute window for your stop time.
