Step 1:
Current Out-of-State or Private School Student: Any student entering Kindergarten, coming from Out-of-State or from a private school MUST register with your Resident School District before submitting a school choice application. Any applications received without this step are considered incomplete and cannot be accepted. |
Step 2:
Current Enrolled DE Public School Student: Any student currently enrolled in a Delaware Public School can skip Step 1 and submit an application through School Choice DE. |

Our incredible team is focused on seeing students become the leaders of tomorrow. We currently enroll over 500 students in Kindergarten - 8th grade.

What you can expect!
Kindergarten - 4th grade:
● Average class size of 19 students ● Five academic classes per day ● One special class per day (phys ed, theater, or art) 5th - 8th grade: ● Average class size of 19 students ● Four academic classes per day ● One high school prep class per day ● One special class per day (phys ed, theater, art, character education, computers, black American studies, or crew) |
APEX Honors Program
This unique honors program is perfect for highly motivated and academically strong 5th - 8th grade students who want to go beyond the state assessment and compete at a higher level. We provide the tools necessary to help these bright young students to succeed and ensure they reach their fullest potential and go on to excel in highly competitive private and public high schools as well as into their college years.

APEX students attend monthly classes at some of the best private schools in the state. They are also enrolled in the acclaimed LYTE and FAME programs, which prepare students for competitive high schools and beyond.

Who Can Apply?
Admission to EastSide Charter is open to any student who is a Delaware resident.
When Can I Apply?
Applications for the 2023-24 school year for grades K-8 will be available starting November 7th. Applications received during the School Choice window of November 7th – January 11th will be entered into a lottery for all grades.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis AFTER THE CHOICE WINDOW HAS CLOSED. You can apply online or come into our main office to complete an application. Returning family please complete an intent to return form. This can be done online or by returning the form to the office. |
Required Documentation
1. Proof of student's age
2. Proof of completed lead test for all applicants five or younger 3. Updated Immunization (2 varicella shots) 4. Two forms of Proof of Residency (one lease/mortgage statement and one utility bill, or two utility bills) 5. Parent/Guardian Photo ID 6. Custody Documentation (if applicable) Parents/guardians residing with a friend or relative must submit a notarized letter, signed by the person they are residing with, attesting to their residency, and that of the potential student (we have a notary on site). They must also provide a copy of the utility bill of the person they are residing with to attest to the residence address. |
